Ambassador calls for Greek book section in National Library

TEHRAN (MNA) -- Greek Ambassador to Tehran Merkourios Karafotias recently visited the president’s cultural advisor and the managing director of the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI).

The ambassador said the Greek nation and government are interested in boosting ties with Iran and called for the establishment of a section for Greek books in the NLAI.

He added that he would make efforts to help establish the Greek book section.

The president’s cultural advisor, Ali-Akbar Ashari, also said that both states need to increase bilateral cooperation in all fields, and especially culture, in order to bring the nations closer together.
